A winged figure of the Egyptian goddess Isis spreads her striped turquoise and gold wings across the center of this ornamental composition, her blue skin and red solar disk crown rendered in jewel tones against a warm papyrus ground. Geometric borders in ochre, turquoise, and deep red frame the deity, creating a symmetrical arrangement inspired by ancient Egyptian decorative arts and hieroglyphic traditions. My name is Mila and art keeps me sane. If you look at my works you probably won't find a lot of consistency there, because there isn't. I follow the inspiration muse wherever she takes me and love every second of it. I love working with textures - especially gemstones, minerals, crystals, metals.
